Beginning Your Home Search
When my clients (or even potential clients) share with me they want to begin to look for a home, I suggest one thing: connect with an Agent
Obviously, there are many search sites out there, and to pass on a few that I've used to take a look at things (even for further information) I have included them below for your reference.  But here's why connecting with an Agent is so important, even in just the preliminary stages of your home search.  Agents have access to many resources, have experience in searching for homes, can ask the questions that are helpful and that they have learned to not overlook, as well as supply you with the most information possible about a home.  Your Agent represents you and your best interests, so they gather or connect you with the most resources possible!
When I help people, I suggest a couple of things.
  1. Let's start with your criteria.  I walk through your criteria with you.   Through a specific set of questions, we are able to narrow down your search (or come up with a couple of different options) and only begin to look at what will be helpful for you.  This also helps you define what you want, and be able to be looking for the right things for you.
  2. Set you up with the Latest Listings Notification.  Whether it's daily email alerts or personal calls from me, I will connect you with the Latest Listings on the market immediately!  This means you are not only able to seize an opportunity when it presents itself, but most of all you are able to free up your time by not searching through countless listings and websites.  You get all of the information, when you want it.
  3. Figure out Financing.  The Larrondo Team is a networked team of professionals, and some of the most important of these are the Lenders.  I have spent time interviewing and selecting these professionals, as they are some of the best out there!  If you don't have financing already, I can connect you with the best Lender for your needs, and get an approval letter before we start looking.  This way we make sure we look in the right price range for your budget.  This is key, so you don't end up in a situation where some are now, as well as you aren't dissapointed when you find a home you love, but aren't able to purchase it.
  4. If you see it, LET ME KNOW!  Some of my clients have ran across the perfect home when they were on their way to work, or exploring through local neighborhoods!  Some of my clients have called me with exactly what they want, and that's great too!  I will then turn and connect you with the right information and resources to gather all the necessary information about your potential home, and assist you in the process of selecting your perfect home!  I encourage my clients to tour the home with me, as well as explore the neighborhood themselves, to see if they like the "feel". This way, they know it's the perfect fit for them, because they had all the information, and they were able to make the most educated decision possible!
If you are interested in starting the process, I do offer the search criteria and latest listings services for free, for anyone.  I know that in order to help you find your home, you need to have the most information possible first, so you can see what's out there and feel comfortable about your decisions.  You can email me at Aleigha@LarrondoTeam.com or you can reach me on my cell at 971.506.4458 so we can start this process of starting or re-defining your home search!
Please let me know how I can assist you...

 RMLS (Regional Multiple Listing Service)
The RMLS is the searchable "directory" of all the listings posted to it in the region!  This means that you have the most extensive selection of homes avaliable on the market, and it's all in one resource!

You can search by various parameters, and it holds listings in a wide range of counties and cities.

You can also search by ML# (if you have it) for a particular home you are interested in!

 Zillow.com
Zillow.com is a great site, because it has so much about each property!  And, you are able to search FSBO's too (For Sale By Owner Homes).

First, you can search for a home within your search criteria.  Once you find it, it gives its own comparable information (pricing, dates, etc.) as well as further property information.  And once you find the home, it has a community section where you can actually research the city or surrounding area around that home!

We also list our listing info on the site!
